The character of a human is bigger than any medal.

This is the scene from the men’s high jump final at the Tokyo Olympics. Italy’s Gianmarco Tambari faces Qatar’s Mutaz Isa Barshim in the final. Both made a 2.37 meter jump and remained equal!

Then Olympic officials gave each of them three more attempts, but they couldn’t reach more than 2.37 meters.
They both were given another attempt, but at the same time Tampberry retreated from the final attempt due to a serious leg injury.
This was the moment when Mutaz Barshim had no other opponent and that moment he could easily reach close to sleeping alone!
But Bershim’s mind was going through something and then thinking about something, he asked an officer, ′′ If I also retreat from the last attempt, can a gold medal be shared between the two of us?”
Shortly after an official investigates and confirms and says ′′ Yes Basic Gold will be shared between you two
Bershim had nothing to think about anymore. He announced his withdrawal from the last attempt.
Seeing this, Italy’s rival ran to Tambari and shouted at Mutaz Barsim by hugging him! Both started crying emotionally.
What people saw was a big part of love in sports that touches hearts. It reveals the indescribable game spirit that makes religions, colors and boundaries irrelevant!!!

I wish everyone looked at other person as a being. We do not decide about the Color of our skin, our religion, our caste, our tribe. It is given to each individual and we make no choice. Then why the heck we argue or fight or state that my Color, my religion , my community is superior than the others. Wish everyone is inspired by this story. Thank you for reminding that religion, Color and boundaries are irrelevant.
