The film is not about the ‘He Man’ who busted the cases of idol thefts from temples in Tamil Nadu. That was a disappointment.
Some ‘Shakthi masala’ stuff. Yet the movie in his name is a true tribute to the real-life hero.
Well, the movie is about some obscure crime which our man Prabhu Deva investigates.
Nice to see Prabhu Deva after a long time. He comes here as a disgruntled Police officer and still looks funny good.
‘No electric dancing’ and ‘Romancing with the wife’ – both are like offering a lassi with no salt nor sugar.
He has lost weight and looks like a bubble gum chewed up and pulled from between the teeth. (-lol- I’m just being jealous of him, though).
His youth pranks are very limited and necessarily underplayed to keep up the sequence of crime.
On the other hand, Suresh Menon has his face bloated like a small ‘Friday pumpkin’ ready for the bazaar shop.
Villains are changed once in every three reels like how people change the T-shirts in the Chennai summer.
The crime related to girls being drugged, raped, and killed is the most disgusting level of poor creativity.
A Muslim family is devastated and left without any support is almost unheard of. Unnecessary coloring can’t be called ‘colorful’.
No more ‘Sorry Mr. Villian, You are under arrest”. Suggestions are about a cop taking the gun to shoot the hell out of the city.
Teens would keep their cell phones away for a while and prefer to watch. At fifty-plus I was busy with my phone and was not able to concentrate much on the movie.
There are chances that most people would forget where the film started but keep watching till the end.
I did because I had to.
(I sat with some curious teen kids who said that my dog hid the remote. Smart Blaggards.).

Though this movie is shot much like some Telugu hits, the suspense is kept secret for most part of the movie that makes an average viewer satisfied.

In that way, it caters to its audience rightly, I suppose.
