Well, folks. Here is a song that you know. This is from a popular Tamil film song, from the early 80s’. Don’t ask me for a clue. They are conspicuous already in every word. Don’t try to sing in its Tamil tune. Read it as an independent Poetry and try to find the song. Let love prevail forever.
Love – Found Missing!
Oh! The breeze of the lake from the northern banks,
Are you now on your way and southeast bound?
There, when the Jasmine fragrance is what you’ll find,
Please tell my girl to reach me, at where she left behind.
‘Before your tender feet got hurt,
I laid a bed of roses for you to walk upon.
My heart wavers like a midstream boat,
I’m older by the yesteryears, quickly gone.
Time has taken away the joy too far,
And the fate we face is to stay apart,
Sweet memories keep melting down in tears,
And again, in the memories, you are back, my dear’.
Oh! The breeze of the lake from the northern banks,
Are you now on your way and southeast bound?
There, when the Jasmine fragrance is what you’ll find,
Please tell my girl to reach me, at where she left behind.
‘The drifting clouds cover the moon, but in vain,
I’m singing alone from memory lane,
In this beautiful hamlet with no walls around,
You join me in this song of love, profound.
Time would merge us together one day,
I’ll wait with a Garland at heaven’s gate,
There, together we shall hold the lovers’ throne,
Till then we’ll stay together, yet stay alone’.
