Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si or C, D, E, F, G, A, and B – Poetry by Srirangam Ramesh
Just the seven musical notes and how many are the songs?
Like the questions from the hearts of the weak and strong.
Some happy, some sad, and some in a clueless haunt
Each clinging to the joy in a dream, till forever he is gone.
With the break every morning we list the things we need to get,
As we get them all at hand, still our needs are never met.
Why? Will be a question that would be the answer of its own,
In every answer that we get there will be a question left alone.
Birth, in the beginning, was not as you planned,
Every next turn in life is not in your hands.
But if you have planned a path to reach a goal,
Travel and thus expel the regret in your soul.
You can share my pains with tears in your eyes,
It’s the gift of love that nature provides.
But the pain of one’s hunger, can it be shared?
There are throbbing aches that one must bear.
Every day we all have a role for each to play,
With our own hands, we should do them all away.
Tomorrow will be ours, live with confidence and stay humble,
There is He who runs the show from inside the temple,
Greet the future by the minute with a broad smile,
Clouding worries would turn to a rain of joy in a while.

And will 26 letters be enough to translate such a beautiful song and spread hope? Yes! And you did it, sir. Nice work, sir.
