Maha Samudram (TeluguMovie)- Review

The movie starts with a good friendship between Arjun and Vijay with each of them establishing a girlfriend and all of them with a career dream.
Quickly the story is changed to content with common criminals. Career dreams are not spoken about and abruptly forgotten.
Suddenly Vizag port supersedes the city of Mexico in drug peddling and gangsters start shooting people like flu pigs.
The two guys are pulled into the mayhem and their romances are swung out of the boundary line.
Before you could think what the hell had happened, one of the girls declares to be pregnant and Vijay, the guy behind abandons her for no reason. The girl is thrown out of her house and she is taken away by the other friend for care and shelter.
Half done, Vijay returns to understand that his girl had settled with his friend Arjun who was by then a gangster himself, and decides to join the rival gangsters to take revenge on his friend. How friggin deep is this love? Damn it!

Where did Vijay go? What did he do then? Why did he abandon his girlfriend? Why he was back? These are all questions kept out of the syllabus.

The beautiful lawyer girl punches a dialogue to Arjun that “All rivers may want to reach the ocean but only the lucky ones can”. Saying so she sacrifices her love and walks away like mother Theresa and Arjun stands gaping at her like an owl at night.

In the ’70s, schoolchildren would fancy discussing stories like this.

A picturesque film squeezed between friendship, romance, and crime with an outcome showing none of them fixed right.

There can’t be a sillier track to sit and watch. Quite bum-breaking.
