Kovilpatti (2018)
I was at Kovilpatti for discussions on the ‘Campus English Program’ at ‘Kamaraj Matriculation Higher Secondary School’. A lovely ambiance and a happening place. The warm smile of the people in the town, teachers, and the students in the school, was a common courtesy that I noticed. Went to a beautiful temple because of which the town is called ‘KOVILPATTI’. The temple deity is SHIVA (POOVANANATAHA) yet the glory of the temple is of the Mother goddess SHENBAGAVALLI AMMAN. A 1500 yr old temple. The darshan of a 7 ft Amman gave goosebumps. ‘Kadalaimittai’ is all over and an eternal smiling challenge to Cadbury’s.’
