1)KANTARA (Kannada)
2) DOLLU (Kannada)
3) KSHAMISI NIMMA KATHAYALLI HANAVILLA (Kannada)
Here are a few words about the three Kannada feel-good movies I could write about.
All three movies are shot in picturesque villages of Karnataka and are a feast for the eyes to behold. Some new female artists save us from the regular pumped-up faces.
All three movies are about the changing patterns of social evolution in the last decades as we welcome the future.
Somewhere all three movies reminded me dearly of my grandparents, especially my dear grandma Gouramma.
KANTARA
A subtle fight over the rights on the land between the donor’s lineage and the occupied village people blows up to become a rage while the deity ‘Manjuruli’ claims its eternal rights. It is just as simple as it could be.
I’m reminded of my grandma’s legendary stories of ‘Kalluruti’ that protected our ancestors in the long past.
Rishab Shetty has conceived the vigor and ferocity of Manjuruli like no actor has before, and he chills the audience’s spine in the climax.
That is an Excellent Picture. All awards were done.

DOLLU
The art of percussion and choreography is a physically exerting combo done before lord Shiva as a tradition that is waning away by the day. Badra fights the odds to sustain it. What was exclusive for the men folks was opened for the woman folks who have rescued the diminishing art form with zeal. A great turn.
The drum beat could have been made more cinematic and inspiring to bring the magnetism it deserved. Nevertheless, a fine comeback of the art should be recorded as it is done well in this film.

KSHAMISI NIMMA KATHAYALLI HANAVILLA
Now here is a common swipe card problem. Banks and clients don’t intentionally fight. There is a common trust kept and ethics followed. But when it teases a man’s peace of mind the discrepancy is addressed emotionally and compensated by law.
There is nothing new in the subject but the stress and hardship of a common man are pictured with subtle humor to smile all the way.

Well. These movies make a fine weekend package for home cinema at zero cost.
OTT Platform is a welcome change of the era and we can say this thankfully with joy and gratitude.
