In those red areas of Hindi, most of the people who live in that area have different 1st languages (except Delhi and Eastern Uttar Pradesh).
Same for Bengali in other parts except for the Southeastern part of West Bengal.
Instead of Hindi, it should really say Khadi Boli. Marwari looks too big (there are many Rajasthani languages). And some smaller languages are missing like Toda. But it is still a reasonable map.
Some areas of eastern and central UP have been shown as Hindi-speaking but are Bhojpuri and Avadhi-speaking respectively.
Assamese isn’t the 1st language in some western and Central parts of Assam.
Nepali isn’t spoken in that area of Assam, that’s Bodo (as the largest group, but still not the majority, only 30-35%)
Some areas of this map should be improved.
But what I like about this map is that at least it tried to show more languages than other language maps of India.
