Ground Reality
(as Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021)
In the shining daylight, it is dark all around,
Nobody is blind, but a path is not yet found,
There are places where no one should have ever been,
All of them there run for life as the danger could be seen.
There are the women who cared, for them who don’t,
There are the children who trusted those who can, but won’t,
The little girls are there looking for the angels from the sky
To come into their lives and love them when they cry.
Guns and roses, Lord, are together in the ground,
Can the little thorns, born with roses, save them from the hounds?
Show the mercy Lord, those kids are out of our reach,
Stay close and show them ‘love’, as we beg and beseech.
