What more could I ask for? On the day of Ramanavami at the Kanchi Shankara Mutt, The Pontiff Sri Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi holds my version of Sri Ramayana close to his chest and showers all the blessings. It was indeed a day in my life to be cherished.
Our Guru, Our light
As blind as I could be,
In the darkness of the distance,
I walk or run to see,
Without a goal but persistence.
There is a call to come,
A light inside the soul,
Words that mother whispers,
In the silence on the whole.
As the light is nearer,
Lord, I close my eyes,
As the sound is louder,
This silence is a surprise.
However long I go,
Wherever it may be,
You are the light from within,
In the darkness that you lead.
