‘The weather is good when the hearts are happy’

Came across Mr. Balachandran, the weatherman of Tamil Nadu. Met him in a function at Srirangam and caught up like long lost friends. Discussed about so many things as if we had to . A very learned person with a warm heart and a deep interest in literature. A memorable day with a fine man over a sumptuous lunch.And then we left with reassurances to meet up again.

Thirukkural Couplet 394 says..

உவப்பத் தலைக்கூடி உள்ளப் பிரிதல்

அனைத்தே புலவர் தொழில்.

You meet with joy, with pleasant thought you part;

Such is the learned scholar’s wondrous art!.
