DIVINELY CHARGED
We are all used to seeing pictures of Gods and saints
with a golden light, a Halo painted over their heads.
This is to depict enlightenment, to show that the person is Self-realized and luminous with His knowledge of this Self.
The state of Self realization has somehow been identified with a Divine passivity, a calmness in knowing things, and generally, those who are in touch with their Divinity do exhibit greater Peace and are usually endowed with greater patience than those who are only living in the mundane world with all its struggles.
But Divinity is not just a static knowing, it is also a dynamic doing.
God does not only have Gyana ( Knowledge). He is the master of Vigyana ( Applied science)
Shiva is the great Visionary, the great Prakasa ( light ) of the world.
But He is always replete with His Shakti, and She has the Viamarsa ( power) of ‘Doing’; of bringing into a reality whatever He envisions.
Now, look at the blue circle above Shiva’s head once more.
It is almost coming alive with the spark of life, like a charge, a touch of Shakti that can reach out and create life with its Divine crackle.
Aum Namah Shivaye.
